Brain Bee is an international brain science outreach program for teenagers originating in the United States. Often referred to as the "Brain Science Challenge," it aims to disseminate brain science knowledge to young people through engaging and professional competitions, stimulating their interest in neuroscience and cultivating potential talent for future brain science research. Today, the program covers dozens of countries and regions worldwide, wielding significant influence in youth science education and serving as a crucial link between basic biology education and cutting-edge neuroscience research.
The Brain Bee stands out for its exceptional prestige as the world's premier youth neuroscience competition. Jointly hosted by international authorities including the American Psychological Association, it spans over 50 countries. The Chinese division enjoys widespread recognition, supported by institutions like Tsinghua University. The competition employs a three-tier advancement system, with the first-place award rate in the China division falling below 10%, making its prizes highly coveted. Its results are highly regarded by prestigious institutions like MIT and Harvard, with over half of national winners gaining admission to Ivy League or UK G5 universities. The assessment spans multiple fields including biology, medicine, and artificial intelligence, combining both specialization and cutting-edge content to effectively enhance academic capabilities.
